A brief word about diets.
There is only one sure way to loose weight and keep it off.
Healthy eating, some form of exercise. Don't drink to much (alcohol, sorry!) . Of course you can indulge occasionally, you are human. Like almost everything in life, diet and healthy living is dependent on your brain! You need to train your brain as well as your body..........

By jove!
We are starting a business and I am reliably informed that one has to a have blog. So I am starting one to add to the maelstrom of the many thousands and thousands that already exist.
Apparently it is all about "Attraction Marketing" getting people to come to you via the web by attracting them to your site!
In the last three weeks since my job was "terminated" I researched every conceivable home based business and angle for making money that you can try to do from home to earn a crust. Nearly all opportunities, as you may imagine, are internet based or at the very least sourced. Let me list some of the companies I have looked at,spoke with and/or researched (in no particular order):
I will briefly go through these though, it may help if you are looking at the same exercise? This is my interpretation and opinion.
Polaris
Seem to be mainly Australian but in lots of countries. Sell self improvement and education products. Glossy website, well presented but largely uninformative in any real content or information on what they really do.
Prices and profit you can make to entice you but no real information. To much gloss and not enough detail. Did my research "due diligence" and on balance there is to much negativity in reviews and articles to feel comfortable, plus the upfront investment is high.
Avon
Nothing much to say, been around for a long time. Reputable company, good products, reasonably priced, money back guarantee. I do not think you would make a fortune just selling the products, so the trick is to become a leader, as with all of these companies. My guess is it could take a long time to build this before you would see any substantial return but you can make money.
Kleeneze
Again a perfectly reputable company, been trading for many years, good product range, reasonably priced. You could make money and again you would need to move up the ladder to become a team leader to take a share of the "teams" profit, with all that entails, training, mentoring etc.
Forever Living
Ditto as above but products more aimed at the "health" market. The structure and tactics are much the same. Reputable, established.
Herbalife
Much more Health Market orientated. Be around a long time. Established, reputable, huge turnover. Structure the same as above. Make and supply supplements, vitamins, weight loss products. They also promote weight loss clubs.
FOREX trading This is obviously totally different from anything described above.
In short it is currency trading. Dollars, pounds, yen, francs, euros etc. It appears to be complex and it is and it isn't. The concept is simple enough buy currency at a price and sell it at a profit, easy? Well of course there is way more to it than that. This is what I have learned. The trick is to trade little and often, limiting you losses and expect to lose sometimes as much as you profit! There is more websites and traders out there telling you why you will fail and how they can guarantee you success (for a price) than you can shake a stick at. Once you enter this world and leave your email address, be prepared to for you inbox to be bombarded!!!
You can make money from FOREX and substantial money at that, over time with patience but you really have to know what you are doing and it is a vast subject. You could easily lose a lot of money!!!!!
Many traders claim they claim they can take all the hard work out of trading for you and supply the information you can use to make money and as you may expect for a fee (usually a monthly subscription).
I confess that FOREX does appeal to me and has captured my imagination but with huge nervousness!!!
I have listened and watched a lot of youtube videos, webinars (horrible word), read articles, blog, reviews until my head was spinning! I have sought advice from independent sources, spoken or met with all representatives/distributers of the home based businesses. There is a massive, humungous amount of people out there trying to sell you the dream, some are real, many are bogus or at best shady, nearly all of them, like you, are trying to earn money from their activities and business proposals and in most cases there is nothing wrong with that, after all isn't that what we all want? Many tell you, that their "system" is worth thousands (dollars usually) but will sell it to you for a ridiculously low price, if you buy right now. don't be fooled, if you think their system/product is worth looking at later their offer will always be there. There are systems that sell for thousands and that is exactly what they want you to spend, be very careful! Research, research, research and then hesitate and research some more. You may be non the wiser but you might have saved yourself from an expensive and time wasting mistake!
Here are some of my conclusions:

Here are some of my conclusions:
- You must go into any of these opportunities with the right "mindset". If you have any doubt or are cynical and/or feel your integrity will be compromised, DON'T do it! You MUST be positive you can succeed.
- There is no get rich quick scheme (I think by now everyone knows this?). You will not succeed without hard work, perseverance and dedication.
- Have a plan, set a timetable
- You will have bad luck and good luck. Treat each accordingly. The unexpected always happens!!
- You never know where one thing will lead, explore each opportunity!
- Smile
