It is September and
the summer whilst not officially over is on the wain. Autumnal tones are on the
way and then within a very short time we shall be regaled with the dreaded
headlong rush into Guy Fawkes, Halloween and I dare not mention the last of those
events so horrific is the thought. The commercial world and promoted excess
will erupt into its most insidious incarnation and more money will wasted in
its normal meaningless manner. So I impress upon you all resist the
machinations of festival spending especially Halloween which is an Americanism
of the worst kind and should never have been imported with such enthusiasm.
