I make no apology for going back to a familiar theme but the depth of corruption within the ex-PM’s and current minsters of the Tory government is depressingly familiar and has been a constant through out the last 11 years. It come as no surprise that Cameron is implicated in the Greensill fiasco and now it is alleged that Hancock is also involved. Two slimier, smooth already rich privileged men you could not wish not to meet! I understand the temptation to line your own pocket when in a position of power but that is all the more reason why you should not! Greed cannot be the only motivation in profiting from this corruption, it is all to easy to lay the blame on that. No there seems to be something in ingrained the culture of ministerial privilege and Tories in particular (they are not alone) that they award those who either donate or are close to them and if they profit along the way well that’s alright. We should not be surprised, it would be naive in the extreme to think in that position we would not be tempted to do the same. I am depressed that the British people are constantly fooled and duped into electing these buffoons, perhaps most just don’t care, I suspect that is the case? The media reports on these scandals but no longer really has the will or righteous indignation to pursue the story and keep the pressure on. No matter how tired or apathetic we are, it cannot be acceptable. These days the government no longer cares what we think, they just ride it out and change the story, ignoring any damage that has been done. We have had numerous examples of this during Johnson leadership, Cummings and Patel to name just two.
Day five of the new abode and things are coming together. Each day the pile gets less and the amount of stuff packing that needs disposing of grows and grows!
Stay well
