Day 132

I am sure plenty has been written about that current guidelines/rules but just to throw my two bobs worth in, they are fucking confusing and seemingly changing on a daily if not hourly basis. In any attempt to inform the public communication is key. Wendy has gone back to work at her gym. She had to explain all the guidelines to her colleagues because unlike her they had not read them! They have not put up any notices explaining tot the members what are the rules, no emails , no FB, nothing. Then they wonder why they get complaints and anger! It is vital whenever changes are implemented that the information is communicated to those it affects. It is even more vital during an unprecedented time such as the one we are in now!
I am constantly surprised in this age of instant messaging and every platform known to man that it still appears that we cannot communicate to everyone? I guess you can have all the technology in the word but the problem of course is that it is in the hands, of well, us! I appreciate there are difficulties and trying to organise and all the requirements can be hard but really simple dissemination of information should be a priority! Not all of the people who need to know will always receive the necessary info, which is why you should have it clearly posted as they enter your premises. There is no excuse.

We are more than halfway through the year and what a year it has been. Do you see it as a wasted year? Perhaps for you it has unearthed new opportunities? Do you feel you have been standing still, treading water as it were? We have experienced a whole new host of emotions and fears this year. We now live with the constant spectre of Covid-19 and little will change for the foreseeable future. It’s easy to say, just get on with it but what if you can’t? People have enough fears and phobias as it is, worrying about this is not going to help. Some people develop irrational fears of all sort of imaginary and real issues, this one will have minds and emotions adding concerns to those fears! Actually your chances of catching the virus are 0.003% and your chance of recovery for most 98.9%, pretty low odds. That may be of little comfort too many and even I am hyper aware of the slightest tight throat and even the smallest feeling of being ill and I consider myself to the lest worrying person I know!
Still many of us have been through worse and I certainly have and am still here writing this banal post everyday!

Stay well
