Biden has chosen his VP. Kamala Harris. I read this on the BBC web site and in the first two paragraphs they immediately write about her ethnic heritage and skin colour. I then read nothing but references to this on other feeds. What is wrong with the world when we perpetuate what a persons ethnic background is, instead of their suitability for the job. If she was white it would not have been mentioned. I could not care less what her racial background is. Is she a good choice based on her experience and suitability for the task ahead. The very fact that in America it is a big deal shows how far from being an equal society they really are. The fact that the rest of the world reports it this way shows how we just don’t seem able to overcome our prejudice.

I made an error in judgement yesterday. Having played 15 holes of golf and walked off because it was too hot! I then came home and a friend whom I have not ridden with for a long time asked if I wanted to go out on the bike. I agreed. Mistake the heat was too much and the ride whilst not long, became a real grind of energy sapping torture!
