Day 16
I am building (is that the right word) I am laying a path using old bricks. We found them when the back of our garden was cleared and old broken greenhouse removed. It’s not something I’ve ever done and I’m very proud of my progress thus far. It not exactly building the Pyramids but satisfying.
We have a neighbour, who a few of us have noticed are flouting the lockdown. People they know have come to their house and there is no attempt at social distancing. Last night as we returned from our walk, a couple with a pushchair we’re leaving their home and there were hugs and kisses. We made it very obvious we disapproved by staring pointedly at them. They certainly noticed but no words were exchanged. They are east European (I use that simply as a cultural reference) and the husband looks to be rather intimidating. He has a reputation for being unfriendly. We know for a fact (because she told us) that he made his neighbour feel so uncomfortable that she moved. He did not like the her because she is gay!
I’ve thought of saying something but frankly we are opposite and it does not affect us and I don’t have the energy to cause any trouble.
It’s a small example of not sticking to the advice but they all add up.
It will get worse before it improves we have not peaked yet. Be vigilant.
Stay well
