Day 220
I keep hoping it will be over but the Presidential election is dragging on like the bad plot of movie! Whether your a Democrat or a Republican (especially a Republican) surely you are ashamed at the blatant tactical antics the incumbent President is trying because he is losing. His election was full of controversy and his defeat is a farce. He has all the dignity of a drunk in a barrel of shit! He was never going to go quietly but his behaviour makes his office a bigger mockery of his office than it already was!
Still it looks as though he will be defeated and we can all breath easier knowing an unstable nutter is no longer in charge. I don’t expect great things from Biden, I’m sure he will try his best but let just label him the interim President until sense returns and an election between two worthy candidates can be found (if they can?) America needs to take a huge breath to allow them to realise what a lucky escape they have had not getting Trump for another four years.
Did you see the expression on Boris’s face in Parliament yesterday when his Chancellor Sunak laid out the plan to extend the furlough scheme until March. He sat slumped in the corner of the front bench with an expression that could only mean “Fuck it, fuck it, fuck it” as he could not only hear a more eloquent speaker than him but all his economic plans were being shredded to pieces! I think he will not be long in that office?
Second day of our second lockdown, any bets on it going on for longer? Will we have a third? Let’s be honest ant attempt to control this virus or test for it has thus far been poor at best and woefully pathetic at worse! Look at China, what ever you may think of their regime, they don’t fuck around they just get stuff done. This is what we are going to do, now do it. The British procrastinate, set up pilots, dither, spend money on things that aren’t needed or are provided by people and companies who don’t have a bloody clue what their doing and in a number of cases, have never done what the are being asked. So what do we end up with, a mess, uncontrolled chaos. Test and Trace should be called Find and Chase!
