Todays word STIFFFRUMP (18th century) An obstinate haughty individual who refuses to budge no matter what! Who could we mean?
I am afraid I don’t understand why non-essential shops have had to close? At a time of year when many would normally be busy with the Xmas period they are closed and slowly going out of business in many cases. I may be naive but I can’t see the difference between going into a supermarket or local food shop, wearing a mask and going in any other shop subject to the usual restrictions, wearing a mask? A shop is a shop and as long as it is policed well what difference does it make? I don’t want to catch COVID, nobody does but there seems to be no logic to the current rules. Okay it stops people gathering and stops crowds going shopping but we can still gather in the “essential” shops!
It seems our PM’s advisors are having a fall out. At this time of year and a tad early for me I’d like to say HO HO HO! Ten years of Tory government and not a single minster you can trust or believe. We really do desperately need a radical shake up of our political system and get more women in power (unless they are like Priti Patel).
