Day 103

Life goes on even though the news is not optimistic and there are places both home and abroad as where the virus spikes and rises. Any country that thinks it has it under control is sadly misguided.
A friend of Wendys said that a colleague was having to travel to Leicester for his profession and reported that the youth of were running around like “feral” animals (his words). Why this should be in Leicester I have no idea. I worked in that city for two years (some time ago) and it always seemed okay to me.

I have listened to a couple of Podcasts for the first time. There are ones that are a shortened version of  a broadcast but the ones I’ve heard are people chatting idly about whatever subject they have chosen. I’m not sure whether I find it interesting or not. I suppose it is no more trivial than many of the programmes you can watch on TV?
I’ve never been one for reality programmes. I have watched the odd one but I am not interested in performances of “real” people solely for the camera under the misguided idea they might win. These programmes promote “celebrity” most of whom are in it just for their fifteen minutes of fame or to get to host some other reality programme or weird quiz show. It appears to be a career path for many. When did being a celebrity become a future?  Why viewers are so obsessed with watching others take part in pointless and inane tasks for their entertainment is frankly beyond me!
No doubt I am out of step or just to old to appreciate such rubbish!

Stay well
