Day 125

Johnson says that the people are their bosses and they should listen. Yet every time we shout he turns a deaf ear, as with Dominic Cummings. Millions told him he should go and what did he do, he ignored us! I know I keep going on about the ineptitude of Johnson (and Trump) but it is no wonder when he is so inept. He is a proven liar, a film flam man, a truth bender. Remember he only got elected last Xmas, we have him for a further four and a half years, unless he calls an early election. He and the Tories have an 80 seat majority, so that is unlikely.
I have waged my own personnel one man campaign against Trump and thankfully (though nothing to do with me) it looks as though there is a chance his days are numbered? I shall continue to wage my own one man protest against Johnson and his cabinet and his party, they are not what this country need and at the end of their 5 years, we will be worse off and completely buggered (not that we aren’t already). I’d like to say that this man manipulated his way into the Tory leadership but I just don’t think he is bright enough to have done it. He is just a figurehead and the strings are being pulled from elsewhere.
As always with the Tories it will be their cronies and backers who will profit from their tenure. the rich will prosper and the poor will get poorer. All the promises they shouted about never selling off the NHS have already been jettisoned with the new Trade Agreement that went through almost unnoticed and unreported.

Today we have a complicit and muzzled media that no longer hold those in power to proper account and afraid or not allowed to ask the tough questions. The
BBC, once a bastion of unbiased and tough reporting are now a bland, frightened bunch of pathetic wimps who no longer are able or have the balls to really rip into these politicians. Even our so called “gutter” press and the “broadsheets” are frightened of their own shadow. We have the worse insipid Parliament and politicians and the most pathetic reports on their actions. The amount of space needed to be filled and 24 hour news seems to have diluted any kind of real criticism or accountability. Yet with all that media to fill, important stories are not given the prominence they need or are ignored all together. What a terrible parlous  state we are in!
Most of the intelligent people I know share this view to one level or another. I will concede that most of the people I know are like minded but we can’t all be wrong.
I wonder if there are people writing everyday on how good a job these politicians are doing and how well the news cycle reports their actions? If they are I have not seen them?

So there you have it another Guestling rant. I will not apologise and will keep shouting even knowing nobody is listening.

Stay well
