There are those who cannot return to work, event if they want to , Wendy for instance works in a gym, which like many places are not yet allowed to open! There is no “choice” for her and many others.
There was never going to be any rhyme or reason to relaxation of lockdown. There are so many activities that cannot avoid human contact.
Today I am one of the lucky ones and able to return to golf (If that’s your thing) As Wendy says, her retired husband has got more to do than she has!
Nature certainly must be laughing up it’s sleeve on it’s revenge upon us for all the damage we have done! If this does turn out to be a man made infection, then it is even more ironic!
Life has never been fair but this has been equally unfair on all of us. What a shame so many could not and have not behaved appropriately.
Oddly I did not sleep well and am strangely nervous about getting back to an activity that I am used to playing every week. It is not concern about the virus. It stems from having been in lockdown for so long and getting back to doing something outside of the restrictions we have had. I am sure it will pass and is just a mild weirdness! Maybe it’s excitement?
I will report back as to how it went, although most of you will not be interested.
