Day 57
Good morning dear reader. I write this at 6.26, the light is coming through the curtains and according to the forecast it’s going to be a warm day.
Our garden has become a sunbathing spot. We are lucky we get Sun at the front in the morning and the back in the afternoon and evening.
I’m afraid I am back on one of my regular subjects this morning, Mr Johnson. He apparently has been receiving a lot of abuse through the usual channels. I noticed on Facebook several people have posted messages of sympathy. They have pointed out that cruel and abusive posts about him could affect his mental health. I don’t condone abuse of anyone and whilst he will attract his fair share of criticism and vitriol, threats and personal attacks are not pleasant. It is in these days it’s par for the course especially when you are in public office and in the eye of the storm.
All political representatives get abuse. I have written much criticism about many of them and have not shied away from being insulting and calling them some nasty names.
I would like to remind you about Boris. This is a man who has written and said some questionable things himself. Some of which were hurtful and prejudicial. He has never apologised. This is a man who manipulated and changed sides whenever it suited him in order to further his own desperate ambition. He is an opportunist of questionable loyalty. He manoeuvred and contradicted himself whenever it suited his purpose. He has lied. Eventually he got what he so badly wanted to become PM. Be careful what you wish for! Yes this is unprecedented time, no leader or government has been faced with this crisis before. Yes he was ill and I’m sure the pressure and responsibilities weigh heavily on him. He wanted THIS job. As they have always said it’s tough at the top!
I am afraid I for one have little sympathy for him.
So today, same as yesterday, much like tomorrow? I wrote about our cats yesterday and unlike every other day did not post any photos of them! I have rectified that today. They two shots are of them as they are curled up right now one above Wendy’s head and the other at her feet, a nightly occurrence!
Stay well
